Estranged mother Debbie Rowe breaks down in tears seeing Paris Jackson fighting back her tears at her father’s memorial

The biggest surprise of the Michael Jackson memorial ceremony held Tuesday morning at LA’s Staples Center was when his three children, surrounded by the entire Jackson clan took to the stage at the end of the event to thank fans. However, it was when 11-year-old daughter Paris asked for the microphone to speak of her father that everyone burst into tears, including her natural mother Debbie Rowe, as X17 Online can confirm.

Rowe, the former nurse who was married to Jackson for three years and is the mother of his two older children, did not attend the ceremony, as fans must already know. For one, as various media have it, she knew all too well that she would not be welcome there, Michael having completely left her out of his will. Secondly, she has a close to inexistent relationship to the children, even though she has recently filed for custody and is now waiting to battle it out in court with Katherine Jackson, Michael’s mom and their current legal guardian. Nevertheless, that’s not to say that she doesn’t love or feel their pain, at least judging by the recent photos.

“Debbie Rowe broke down in tears as she watched her daughter Paris’ emotional eulogy on the televised memorial tribute to Michael Jackson. X17 cameras snapped Rowe burst out from the door of her home, crying, at the EXACT moment Paris Jackson was speaking to the audience about her love for her father. Friends of Rowe comforted her as she wiped her eyes.” a post on the website of the paparazzi agency reads. Strangely enough, Rowe watched the ceremony outside, which does raise some questions as to the sincerity of her (crocodile) tears, as other media outlets also point out.

“Debbie was distraught; she couldn’t stop crying. We could even hear her crying from where we were. Her friends were hugging her but for a few minutes she couldn’t even control herself. You could see she was really in pain.” an X17 photographer, camped outside Rowe’s ranch and who probably snapped the shots of her crying her eyes out, says for the agency.

As we also reported the other day, Paris Jackson, Michael’s 11-year-old daughter, asked for the microphone to speak at the end of the memorial ceremony. In the few words she could get out, she said she wanted the world to know Michael had been the most extraordinary father ever – and she could very well vouch for that.
