14 DAY TRIAL // Marriage crisis or no marriage crisis, Dean McDermott and Tori Spelling still celebrated their 8th wedding anniversary this week like no cheating scandal had ever happened. Details on Dean’s present to Tori on this occasion have now emerged online.
The two are now shooting the Lifetime docuseries “True Tori,” whose production is almost in real time, and whose purpose is that of showing the fans at home their problems after Dean was caught cheating on Tori with another woman. For all intents and purposes, they’re still not back on because they’re still trying to see if they can work this out.
That, of course, did not stop Dean from going all out with his present for Tori, People magazine informs. First off, he went out shopping at Victoria’s Secret, presumably picking some saucy lingerie items for her. He also took her out for a sushi dinner at Katsuya, a famous restaurant in LA.
The icing on the cake came when he presented her with a Neil Lane ring, which he had picked up shortly before the big day.
People magazine describes it as “a vintage ring with multi-colored stones from Neil Lane (as he has done in past years). The hand-engraved, Renaissance-inspired ring is set in 18-carat gold with pear-shaped sapphires, square-cut rubies and greenish yellow peridots.”
Apparently, he wanted something really special to mark this very special occasion.
“Dean wanted to keep tradition and celebrate their anniversary and ‘love story’ with a very special, beautiful ring set in gold — and this one is really cool with lots of color. He loved the multi-color and he wanted gems. It’s very stylish and different. He wanted to get a really special jewel, something meaningful – he wanted to show up for Tori with a beautiful ring,” the jeweler reveals for the publication.
An insider tells the e-zine that Tori was thrilled by her present, proclaiming it the best of all those she received so far. However, the two were photographed right after the sushi dinner and she didn’t look too impressed with what had just happened.
But we’ll probably see more on that on their docuseries, which is only a few weeks behind the events in real life.
For those of you out of the loop, rumors of Dean’s cheating started picking up speed in late 2013, peaking before Christmas, when a woman went to the tabs to recall her 2-night affair with him while he was on a business trip to Canada.
Since then, Dean has been to rehab and has made several pretty difficult to watch admissions on TV. Perhaps even worse than all this is the rumor that the entire cheating scandal and all the drama that followed had been faked by the couple just so they could get this new reality show.
