Dead Space is shaping up to be a pretty interesting game. It promises a lot of innovations and from what we have seen until now, it will deliver on most of them. With just a few weeks until its official launch, on October 14 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 and October 20 for the PC, Electronic Arts, the developer behind this game, is offering special treatments. After launching a pretty expensive Collector's Edition which didn't really offer quite a lot of stuff to justify paying almost double the sum for the standard game, it announced that the console versions of the game would have specific content, in the form of two outfits which would be available for download.

Depending on your console of choice, you will be getting themed costumes with improved functionality. You will be able to download the suits in the first two weeks after the launch of the game, via the Xbox Live Martketplace or from the PlayStation Network. “Both of these suits will feature new looks and increased toughness and inventory slots, to help players fight for survival in the Dead Space universe,” read the official press release.

It definitely sounds pretty interesting and a lot of people who have already planned on buying it from day one will be even more excited about the game. As you can see in the image, the PS3 one looks really cool with the black finish and red accents, but the Xbox one isn't all that dull either. Anyway, for any gamer, it's the functionality of the suits which will be the decisive factor.

Also, the game has now gone gold, which means that a master disc has been transported to the manufacturing plant where all the copies of the game will be made and then shipped to stores on launch date.
