Microsoft has just revealed a huge list of fresh details about Dead Rising 3, the upcoming Xbox One exclusive open world zombie game, including new info about the co-op mode and the super-combo weapons that can be crafted inside the new title.

Dead Rising 3 is out alongside the Xbox One on November 22, and Capcom's Vancouver studio has worked closely with Microsoft to make sure that the game runs smoothly on the Xbox One and delivers a great next-gen experience.

Now, Microsoft has revealed some fresh details about Dead Rising 3, via the blog of its Xbox Community Manager Larry Hryb, going in depth about the cooperative multiplayer mode that sees a second player join the story of another one.

"When playing in a friend’s game, you’ll not only help them advance, but also contribute to your story progression and earn experience points that carry back into your own game. Any mission you finish in a friend’s game will also register as 'complete' in yours, so you’ll never have to go back and replay a co-op mission to advance your single-player story, unless you want to experience it again," the company said.

"Co-op players will assume the role of Dick, a wise-cracking trucker who sees the main character Nick Ramos as his best chance at getting out of the overrun city of Los Perdidos, and plays a key role in the Dead Rising 3 story."

Besides running around and killing zombies with regular weapons, players in Dead Rising 3 will be able to craft super-combo weapons besides the regular combo ones.

These items require multiple steps and several blueprints, not to mention other items, to actually work, but their effect in blasting the zombie horde is guaranteed.

"Examples include the Ultimate Powershout, a deadly concussive horn made of traffic cones; the Ultimate Grim Reaper, a flaming scythe made of a katana sword, a scythe, a gas canister and a mask; and the Massive Bomb, a mini-nuke that obliterates every zombie in your vicinity – along with your clothes."

Dead Rising 3's super-combo weapons can also be customized and taken to new directions, according to Microsoft.

"For example, the fan-favorite Freedom Bear from Dead Rising 2, a life-size stuffed bear turret armed with twin machine guns, can be customized into eight different variants in Dead Rising 3 with modifications like grenade launchers, a push cart and a boombox lure to confuse the zombies."

Dead Rising 3 is set to debut for the Xbox One on November 22.
