Capcom is vague when asked for details

Capcom is a company that has been in the spotlight quite a lot in the past few months, as it has just released a few blockbuster titles, like Street Fighter IV or Resident Evil 5, and is gearing up for yet another big release, in the form of Bionic Commando, a remake of the original arcade game.

Besides these big releases, the company also announced in the past few weeks sequels for two of its biggest titles from two years ago, Dead Rising 2 and Lost Planet 2. While the announcements were embraced by fans, as a lot of rumors preceded them in regard to the termination of the two franchises, a lot of people were very happy as the early 2009 statements were almost like a confirmation for a holiday season release.

But Capcom advises fans to hold their proverbial horses and not jump to any conclusions before the release dates are set. Chris Kramer, a representative of the Japanese company, has recently talked with Xbox 360 community manager Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb about the two games, revealing that they are big titles for the next fiscal year.

Now, for those who don't know, the fiscal year runs from April one year to March the next one. That is why we might not get to see these two blockbusters until the beginning of 2010. The fact that two big titles like Resident Evil and Street Fighter were released at the beginning of this year and achieved massive sales because they avoided the holiday rush of other high-end titles might reinforce the fact that at least one of the games will arrive next year.

Until we hear some official details about the release schedules of these two highly anticipated sequels though, we can only hope that we will get our hands on them at the end of this year.
