Here's some very good news from Kansas. Two Amur tiger cubs born at the Sedgwick County Zoo only a few days ago are doing great, and seem eager to practice their walking skills as often as they get the chance.

Sources say that the cubs were born at this animal sanctuary this past July 6, and that each weighed about 3 pounds (1.36 kilograms) when arriving into this world.

Since then, the female cub has more than doubled its weight. The male, on the other hand, has put on some 2 pounds (0.9 kilograms).

Unlike other tiger cubs usually born at zoos across the United States, these two baby tigers were naturally conceived by mother Talali and father Ivan.

The tiger family is presently off exhibit, and they will probably stay clear of the public eye until autumn.
