Comedian David Spade is currently making plans for a sequel to one of his best known movies, “Joe Dirt” which came out in 2011. The news came from Spade himself which was taking fans’ questions on a Reddit “Ask Me Anything” session on Wednesday, April 30.

The only issue standing between him and the new film is the budget, claims Spade, who admits that the world of filmmaking is turning into a very expensive business. “We're putting it together now and seeing if we can keep it as funny and with the music we like for a lower budget,” he says.

“All the movies you hear about being made now keep running into budget problems, this and that, and it sounds boring, but it's just a new world, where they can't make those $15-30 million comedies anymore. It's either $3 million or $200 million, there's almost no in-between,” the actor complains.

As to when exactly the movie is coming out, Spade can't say for sure, but he does mention that “Hopefully it will be soon, or it will be too pointless.” There is also no word if the rest of the cast in the original which included actress Brittany Daniel and Kid Rock will also be making a comeback.
