Complaining on the low rating of the game was just the beginning

After receiving a mere 6.7 on Calling All Cars from Gamespot, David Jaffe (best known for the God of War series), commented on that rating, as being inaccurate, but also admitting to its faulty features. Then came Joistiq's turn to comment on Jaffe's strange behavior on actually criticizing the review for his own game.

1UP and IGN also assigned Calling all Cars with an 8 and an 8.5 respectively, which probably gave Jaffe the courage to make the following statement, which although doesn't contain the word Joistiq, we can pretty much make it up from the context, as 1UP posted yesterday. Be advised, although rough language has been censored, everything can be deducted quite clearly, so if you're not of appropriate age, it's better if you stop here (like that'll stop you from reading...).

"TO THE LAME A*S WEBSITE THAT SHALL GO UNNAMED- F**k you, guys. Go f**k yourselves. What other developer makes a f**king change to a game when a review (IGN's in this case) has a good, valid point and is willing to open the f**king code up at the risk of more bugs to make the game better? Amazing. But hey, you guys are great, you guys rock. I hope Kotaku f**king puts your ass out of business, wanna be f**ktards. And if you were actual journalists you would have read the motherf**king quote I posted on NEOGAF where I said because of the two bugs we needed to fix (not because I was afraid of the bargin bin) we had a window of opp. to fix the magnet problem. Assholes...total f**king a*sholes."

I'm trying to keep my mouth as shut as I can on this one, not wanting the same kind of response from Jaffe myself. Although his language is hard to say the least, the man does have a point. But this is one too many times Jaffe steps up to discuss the rating on his game. Normally, after the developer releases the game, his job is finished and it's the reviewers' job to talk about it. I'm curios how Jaffe's image will be affected by this.
