There is a reason why David Beckham has countless underwear campaigns under his belt. The ex-footballer has an amazingly sculpted body and, coupled with his passion for fashion, has used it to become the image of several underwear collections.

At the moment, David is busy shooting the ad for his David Beckham Bodywear collection for H&M which is going to be aired as a Super Bowl halftime commercial, one of the most coveted time-slots in terms of number of viewers.

Usually, there is a big fight over this space, as all the major players in the advertising industry scramble to grab a spot and also come up with the most original campaigns. It looks like H&M isn't looking for something very original and are banking on the popularity of the former athlete.

Daily Mail had a chat with Beckham behind the scenes, and even if he's considered one of the hottest men alive today, he bashfully admitted that he took off his clothes with a little bit of embarrassment.

There are two ads in the campaign, one that portrays Beckham in the buff, in front of a photographer's lens, and another one, more dynamic, in which he's featured in underwear. The ad company also lets fans choose the ending of the clip, filming several versions.

The entire plot of the clip revolves around a very scantily-clad David, trying to make it to the photo studio on time, as he runs, jumps and ziplines his way across rooftops.

Speaking about the experience of filming three days in London on rooftops, without any clothes on, David opens up that, “it was a little cold but fun.”

He also talked about the impact this new campaign will have on his image: “Having [the ad] at the Super Bowl, it's no bigger and better than that. So it's kind of daunting because obviously there are so many people watching it. But I'm excited to see what people think.”
