Console owners are simply in love with their media center. It's a fact, otherwise they wouldn't try pimping them out all the time. Remember yesterday's Darth Vader Wii case mod? Well, what you're about to see today beats them all.

The Playstation 3 Darklite Integrated Lightbar truly makes your PS3 look like an UFO ready to take off. Dim the lights a bit and you're going to impress your friends big time. Adding that it goes for as little as $14.99 (up on Amazon.com), I'd say you go get it while it's still available. Amazon also says that the Playstation 3 Darklite Integrated Lightbar is eligible for FREE Super Saver Shipping on orders over $25, but regular Amazon shoppers know these things already.

Here's the product's official description: Darklite Integrated Lightbar is a vivid lighting product for the PS3 console. Set the mood and create a unique gaming atmosphere in your living room while you play games or watch movies. Easy to mount product connects to the back of your console to instantly transform the room.

Features can't go unnoticed of course...:

- Product looks like part of the original PS3 console - Precision development and design - Extra-bright LED lights give off a stunning blue light - Adjustable angle of light projection - Dimmable lighting from low to high beams

It seems kind of hard to imagine that a lot of people are going to opt for the Darklite Integrated Lightbar though. You see, one must actually love a console to go through all the trouble and expenses of giving it a face lift, or keeping it ahead of the times. With the PlayStation 3, I don't see how that can happen. Sure there are some fanatics out there who would pimp out their PS3's spending all their life savings in the process, but many PS3 owners are probably still "recuperating" from spending so much money on the console and games, all this while good games for it are scarce to begin with.

So the question is, not having many games to play on your PS3, would you still opt for this accessory just to have an extra reason of switching it on?
