The first Dark Soul 2 network test for North and South America is now open to all PlayStation 3 lovers. In order to observe any technical errors, a variety of stress tests will be performed. These tests allow PS3 users and fans of Dark Souls to be selected as testers.

The detailed goal of this testing is to check the game system and game balance for any bugs and afterward fixing them. These tests will vary from Server Load tests to Multiplayer and Game Balance Optimization ones.

To qualify, entrants must be over 18, own a PlayStation3 and have a Sony Entertainment Network account. Their job is to have an active participation in the testing and report whatever issue they may encounter.

There will be two sessions of network tests, one on October 12 and the other on October 26. If you are selected, a message will be sent from Sony Computer Entertainment America with a download code that will redeem the user.

For the first session, users will receive the message on October 8 while for the second one on October 26, both at 11:00 am PDT. The number of invitations sent out is quite large, going up to 5,000. Even so, the second network test will allow a limited number of testers.

All players will receive the same code, which can also be found on the official Facebook page of the game. By agreeing with the Terms of Use for the network version of Dark Souls II, they will be able to play the game and commence testing.

Fans will finally be able to experience what users from North America and Europe did in the closed beta from October 5.

Aside from this, the Dark Souls 2 game is due to launch on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 as well as Windows PC on March 11, 2014.
