EA Entertainment sure knows how to make birthday presents when it comes to its older franchises. Upon the five year anniversary of Dark Age of Camelot, Mythic plans on unleashing the seventh expansion pack of its longevous massive multiplayer online role playing game. Scheduled for later this year, the Labyrinth of the Minotaur will introduce one new playable race and a fresh class to the already hardcore realm versus realm fighting.

Minotaurs came to the lands of Camelot seeking aid in tracking down the recently unearthed Minotaur Relics that have been causing so much trouble across the world. As it is to be expected, characters can strive to attain these relics and wreak some havoc of their own in the expansion. Being the first in two years, a new playable race has henceforth joined the realms, the half-man, half-bull Minotaurs themselves. This breed of great physical strength and deadly combat expertise can easily wield two-handed swords with just one hand, opening up interesting gameplay possibilities. A new Mauler brawling class, blessed with the elemental powers of the earth, has been introduced to accommodate these changes.

The expansion will also feature new quests, mythical items of great power and five new champion levels to further your high end skills and abilities. The best is yet to be revealed, as deep beneath the island of Agramon lies the Labyrinth itself, supposedly "the largest single dungeon in any MMO." Just imagine, players may acquire and use Minotaur Relics, but become targets to be hunted by the other Realms in doing so. Fans twitch with anticipation. Also, those that pre-order the expansion will also receive an exclusive pet, the Clockwork Kitten.
