The small community of Danville is in shock after a robbery gone wrong ended in tragedy, with 3 people shot dead. The suspect is still on the loose but, as the video above will confirm, police have already issued a portrait of him.

The shooter is believed to be a white male wearing a “green camo-type jacket,” aged between 40 and 50.

His three victims have been identified as the pawn shop owners Michael Hockensmith and Angela Hockensmith, and Daniel Smith.

The couple’s two children were also in the shop at the time of the shooting, with the older one, a 9-year-old boy, being the one who called 911 after the shooter made his escape through the garage door.

Police sources say that the boy threw himself onto his 14-month-old sister to shield her and keep her safe during the shooting.

For the time being, police are yet to determine the relationship between the shooter and his victims, if any at all. They’re working on the supposition that this was a robbery attempt and not some vengeance act.
