Female celebrities (but not only) often turn to Botox to help them out in their constant struggle against time, if one may call it that, but this quick fix does have some disadvantages that make it unsuitable for certain stars. Dannii Minogue, for instance, is one of them, telling Grazia magazine she needs the ability to move her face to make a good X Factor judge.

Therefore, no more Botox for her from now on. Admittedly, Dannii has often come under serious fire in the British media for her apparent “frozen” expression, which meant whatever emotions she was trying to convey to contestants on the popular talent competition was lost since her face would not allow her to express it. Because of this, Dannii has decided to give up the regular Botox jabs she would get until now and go all natural in front of the cameras and audiences.

“I see the comments. Plastic. All Botox. I can see what people see, but I have to say that – while I have been open about doing it – I’m not doing it now. For The X Factor, it is actually quite useful to be able to have facial expressions!” the 38-year-old television personality says for Grazia. This can only mean that, from now on, she’ll forgo the beauty fix altogether, just like her sister Kylie did a while back, also speaking publicly about her intention to abstain to never get the “frozen look” again.

Earlier this year, the 40-year-old singer was telling Elle magazine that she had tried all beauty remedies available on the market, from the now-considered plain procedure of Botox to more complicated and painful surgical interventions. In a short while, though, she became dissatisfied with the results of all of them because they were extremely unnatural, so she decided to start to learn to grow old gracefully. Of course, this did not mean that she would even consider trying to talk someone else out of getting one of these procedures done, since it was everyone’s right to make this kind of decision.

“I’ve tried Botox, I’ve tried them all. I’m definitely not one of those people who says, ‘You shouldn’t do this.’ Everyone can individually do what they want. For all time women have wanted to, for the most part, look their best. It’s just that what we have available to us today is what it is today and if you want to take advantage of it, yeah. I’m preferring to be a lot more natural these days.” Kylie Minogue was saying for the women’s magazine at the time.
