Who says that the pop industry isn't a dangerous business? The members of the Danity Kane group found that out for themselves when it actually came to blows during a recording session in the studio. Now, one year after they reunited, the girls are splitting up again.

According to a post on the band's website, Aubrey O'Day is saying that she was punched by Dawn Richard, and Shannon Bex can confirm. The brawl took place in the studio were the girls were recording for their new album on August 4.

Aubrey O'Day went ballistic and came out complaining that she was punched by another member of the group in the back of her head. Since she claims that she doesn't condone violence, O'Day reveals that she has since chosen to leave the group.

The post reads something in the lines of, “During a recent group meeting, a business conversation took a turn for the worst [sic] when my group member punched me in the back of my head while I was speaking to another associate.”

She is careful to add that “To be clear, she was not physically engaged or threatened prior to her attack on me,” insisting that it wasn't she who started the fight and nor was she threatening the others in any way at the time of the attack.

Reading on through her post, we find out that she was so distraught about the whole incident that she has chosen to file a police report. She gave police officers the same circumstances in which the attack took place.

In the end, she apologizes to fans about leaving the group and she explains her decision, saying that she “cannot condone or excuse any form of physical violence, particularly at the hands of someone I considered family.”

Since O'Day wasn't too clear about who punched her and why, one of the other members of the band, Shannon Bex, wrote a similar post aimed at discriminating her and shedding more light on the situation. Mainly, she just wanted people to know that she wasn't the one who punched O'Day.

“I did not witness a shouting match, a catfight or a brawl. I witnessed a single direct punch,” Bex claims and points a very blaming finger at the third member of the group, Dawn Richard, the only one who hasn't written on the website, trying to clarify issues.

In her defense, Dawn talked to TMZ and told them that all these accusations against her were “exaggerated lies and false accusations.” Inside sources confirm that Dawn has been left out of business meeting and also recording sessions, which would give her a reason to want to come out punching.
