Daniel Craig has already started shooting for the long-delayed 23rd James Bond movie, working titled “Skyfall.” In between takes, he's also talking with producers about the possibility of doing 5 more other installments.

Though news that he would take on the deadly, gorgeous and swift 007 agent was initially welcomed with jeers and sneers, Craig has proved to be the most popular and successful Bond so far.

As such, it wouldn't be that much of a surprise if he was asked back for the part – time and time again, until Roger Moore's record of 8 films was brought down.

Producer Michael G Wilson has confirmed that he's in talks with Craig about the possibility of rounding up his Bond roles to 8, The Hollywood Reporter notes.

“Filming has gone very well and I'd love Daniel to surpass Roger's [Moore] record and do eight pictures,” Wilson is quoted as saying.

THR says that this quote sent the blogosphere into a frenzy, with many fans of the time-enduring franchise saying such a collaboration would be a dream come true, since Craig is the best Bond ever to grace the silver screen.

“Wilson also hinted that director Sam Mendes and Craig are taking the movie’s feel back to the 1960s and the Sean Connery era of 007,” THR further says.

Many fans of the Bond franchise may not agree with the above statement that Daniel Craig is the best 007 of all times, but that doesn't change the fact that he managed to do what those before him could not: he turned Bond into a mainstream hero, one that appeals to non-fans as well and not just to those familiar with the franchise.

Moreover, critics argue, he also brought depth and more complexity to the character that had been, until he came into the picture, rather one dimensional.

If you too happen to think just as highly of Daniel, then hearing he's considering doing another 5 films can't but be good news.
