Actor denies earlier rumors that future installments could possibly feature a gay 007

Even before “Skyfall” came out, there was a lot of talk about a particular scene in it, which sees Daniel Craig’s James Bond and Javier Bardem’s villain, Silva, share a moment unlike any other in any other 007 film.

To be more exact, the scene sees Silva touch Bond on the chest in a very suggestive manner, with Bond replying, “What makes you think this is my first time?” thus implying that he’s been with men before.

While initially Craig was careful not to offer a concrete answer to the burning question of “is Bond gay?,” he’s finally taking a stand: a gay Bond will never happen.

Or, at least, not with him as the lead.

“No,” the actor told E! News when asked if Bond was gay or bi.

“Because he's not gay. And I don't think Javier's character is either—I think he’d [expletive] anything,” Craig added.

Come to think of it, there’s plenty of ambivalence about Silva’s orientation in the film: he has a girlfriend (and she’s quite a stunner!) but there’s also something that draws him to Bond as well.

Whether that’s his rugged looks or his relationship with a certain M I can’t say without spoiling the film for you.
