She said she was here for the party and she made sure she enjoyed every moment of it. Actress Valerie Harper, who has been diagnosed with terminal brain cancer but is looking to send out the message that such a diagnosis doesn’t necessarily mean the end of life, has been eliminated from ABC’s Dancing With the Stars.

Valerie and partner Tristan MacManus’ last dance on the show was the Viennese Waltz, for which they got a total of 18 points from a possible 30.

You can see it in full above.

Though Valerie has been an amazing presence on the show throughout, it was this particular dance that will probably be remembered as her most touching and inspirational one, even though it was far from perfect.

“I'm here for the party and as long as I can participate fairly, I'm willing to keep on keepin' on,” Valerie said in the rehearsals footage that aired before the dance.

Viewers’ votes and the judges’ scores made it so that she could no longer be on the show fairly but, worry not, she left with her head held high, a true lady until the end.
