Developer Harmonix has announced that artists Gwen Stefani, Fatboy Slim, Keri Hilson and Paula Abdul have licensed songs that will be available for Dance Central on the Xbox 360, allowing fans of the game to experience more dance routines to popular tracks.

Here are the tracks that players will be able to download on the Xbox 360:

Fatboy Slim – “Weapon of Choice” Gwen Stefani – “Hollaback Girl” Keri Hilson – “Turnin Me On” Paula Abdul – “Straight Up”

The star of the four-song pack is “Weapon of Choice” from Fatboy Slim, which was made popular by the video that stars Christopher Walken and which received a Grammy Award for Best Short Form Video.

Each of the new songs can be bought individually and those interested will need to play 240 Microsoft Points, which is about 3 real-life dollars.

Dance Central uses the new Kinect motion-tracking system to allow players to use all the motions of their body as input, dancing to popular songs and aiming to match the routines that the game offers.

There are 32 songs included on the game disk for Dance Central, with hits from artists like Kool & The Gang, Kylie Minogue, Cascada, Nelly Furtado, Christina Milian and Salt-N-Pepa and styles that go from pop to Latin and funk.

Harmonix is now an independent developer once more after Viacom chose to sell the company to an investment firm citing the disappointment performance of its Rock Band franchise.

The developer says that it will be delivering more content for both Rock Band and for Dance Central in the coming month while exploring the possibilities of developing new games in the music-powered space.

Recently, publisher Activision announced that it was pulling out of the music genre, with Guitar Hero and DJ Hero 2 not slated to get new games this year.
