If you’ve ever wondered what the weirdest place to spot a tablet is, well, a possible answer might be, in an oven.

Home appliance giant Dacor is showing off some smart home devices that aim to improve human lifestyle, and among them we can find the Discovery iQ Dual Fuel Smart oven series, reports AndroidPolice.

And the Discovery iQ 48-inch Dual-Fuel has a 7-inch Android tablet incorporated right in the front panel, acting as a controller of the machine.

The slate is able to run apps from the Google Play Store (including the Discovery iQ app) and control everything is going on within the oven. So while you wait for your meal to be cooked, you can play a quick game of Temple Run or pop your favorite song to keep you company.

If you fancy such a device in your house, you should start saving up because the 48-inch oven doesn't come cheap and will ship for a massive $11,999 / €8,796. But don’t despair, a “cheaper” 36-inch version is also reportedly in the works.
