14 DAY TRIAL // The judges and the viewers at home have decided: the winner of the 2013 season of ABC’s Dancing With the Stars is Kellie Pickler. This marks the fourth win for her pro dancing partner, Derek Hough.
Before the season finale, Kellie and Derek had moved the audience to tears with a very stripped down and incredibly emotional performance on the Supersize Freestyle Night.
I admit I was rooting for them.
As the video above will confirm, Aly Raisman and partner Mark Ballas came out fourth and were eliminated from the top 3 early in the night, before the Instant Dance.
Jacoby Jones and Karina Smirnoff came out third, while Zendaya and Val Chmerkovskiy were runner-ups.
Kellie and Derek got to take home the mirrorball trophy.
As noted above, this is the fourth win for Derek: he also won the trophy on season 7 with Brooke Burke, on season 10 with Nicole Scherzinger and on season 11 with Jennifer Grey.
