Capcom too has recently decided to speak its intentions for 2008 and although it hasn't confirmed a rich lineup (such as SouthPeak Games and Atari), it has however announced a new installment in a very popular game series: Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney. Capcom has plans to release the latest iteration in the courtroom drama series exclusively for Nintendo's dual-screened handheld, on the 12th, next month.

Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney is the first Ace Attorney game developed specifically for Nintendo DS. Capcom has introduced a bunch of new characters, including new defense attorney Apollo Justice. During the game players have to make use of Apollo Justice's uncanny ability to uncover witnesses' lies by studying their body language. Don't be afraid of failure though. If one case or scenario seems tough to crack at first, be sure that your assistant Trucy, a mysterious female magician, will be giving you pointers.

During gameplay, Trucy isn't the only character you'll be getting involved with in order to solve a crime. Kristoph Gavin, the "ultra-cool mentor whose perfect logic and natural instincts have won him numerous cases and the respect of his colleagues," will also be offering invaluable advice throughout the whole experience.

Some of the main features in Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney:

■ All-new courtroom adventure from the creators of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney ■ 1st fully new title to be developed specifically for the Nintendo DS. ■ Classic Ace Attorney gameplay with new modes that let you survey crime scenes, interview witnesses and gather evidence before defending your client in court! ■ Microphone can be used to yell "Objection!" and "Hold it!" as you cross examine witnesses ■ All new "Crime Recreation Mode" that allows players to reveal hidden clues by re-creating the scene of the crime ■ Two distinct gameplay segments: - Investigation phase - survey crime scenes, interview witnesses and gather evidence that will be used in court - Court phase - present findings from the investigation to support your case, listen to testimonies and examine witnesses ■ Diverse cast of characters

A flash demo will be found on both Capcom-Unity.com and Ace-Attorney.com later on this month, while DS owners will have the opportunity to download their version of the demo via Wi-Fi from Nintendo Stations.

Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney is scheduled for release in North America on February 12th, this year. The game has been rated T for Teen by the ESRB.
