The latest member of the DROID family

DROID X by Motorola, the latest Android-based mobile phone wireless carrier Verizon and mobile phone maker Motorola brought to the market in the United States, is now available for purchase online. It has been a long wait for some, especially since Big Red did not make the high-end device available for pre-order, yet the carrier's customers, along with all other Android enthusiasts out there interested in Motorola's DROID X, can now place orders for the device, and wait at home to receive their unit in a couple of days.

As most of you might have expected, the latest DROID on the market was put on sale with a price tag of $199.99 attached to it, though a two-year contract agreement with Verizon Wireless is included in the deal, along with a mail-in rebate. Big Red's DROID family has just been expanded with a device that boasts a 4.3-inch touchscreen display, an 8-megapixel photo snapper, a TI OMAP 1GHz processor with Dedicated GPU, Android 2.1 and more.

But that it's not all. The phone's specifications list also includes a 3.5mm headset jack, 3G Mobile Hotspot capabilities with support for a number of up to 5 Wi-Fi enabled devices, FM Radio, support for WLAN, Bluetooth, 800/1900, CDMA EVDO rev A connectivity options, support for Push Email, IMAP and POP, MSN Hotmail, and AOL Mail, aGPS, Unified Google Calendar & Corporate Calendar, VZ Navigator , support for the Android Market, and many other features more.
