Soon, a new Android-based mobile phone will become available for purchase on the airwaves of Verizon Wireless in the United States, namely the Motorola DROID Bionic, which was unveiled to the world back in January, but got delayed by a few months.

The new device should arrive on the market with support for Verizon Wireless' 4G LTE network, the same as originally planned.

The handset was supposed to arrive on shelves in spring, but it seems that the initial design it was packed with was not the most fortunate one, and that Motorola decided to change it a bit.

Thus, the handset vendor announced several months ago that it would delay the DROID Bionic to the summer, and that it would perform various changes to it.

Apparently, the company is almost finished with the redesigning process, and the mobile phone is set to make an appearance into the wild in the not-too-distant future.

A recently leaked document from Best Buy shows that the Motorola DROID Bionic has a new face, and that it might not be too long before it could make an appearance into the wild.

“With the ferocious force of Verizon 4G LTE, the Droid Bionic is an all-powerful, unstoppable machine,” the said leaked Best Buy Mobile promo material states.

The mobile phone is listed there with the coming soon tag next to it, but this is something we already knew. However, a specific release date is not unveiled for the time being.

Some of the latest rumors suggested that Verizon and Motorola might be set to make the Motorola DROID Bionic available for purchase sometime in August.

The new handset might arrive a little too late for some, but others will certainly be happy to grab it. After all, it comes with a dual-core application processor inside, a large screen and great multimedia capabilities on a fast 4G LTE network.
