14 DAY TRIAL // Adrian Thomas, the Australian music producer better known as DJ Ajax, has died. He was involved in a major car accident and passed away on the scene. He was only 42 years old.
“DJ Ajax died on the scene after he ran out onto a Melbourne road and was hit by an oncoming truck shortly before 1 a.m. on Thursday,” The Huffington Post reports.
In a sad twist of fate, DJ Ajax died precisely on his birthday. The exact causes of the accident have not yet been revealed to the press.
“We are devastated and heartbroken to have lost Adrian and our thoughts are with his family and many, many friends who share our grief at this time,” a statement from Sweat It Out, the record label he founded, reads.
“He was a hugely talented individual and was highly respected by the local and international dance music community as a pioneer and innovator. Adrian touched so many people and it is impossible to sum up his legacy in words,” the statement adds.
He will be missed.
