One of the nice things about Blogger is the amount of freedom you get to customize your blog. You can upload, or write if you have the skillz, your own CSS to create a completely unique look for your blog.

But if your coding skills leave to be desired or you don't have the patience to roll up your sleeves and edit the code yourself, Blogger has introduced a new way of customizing your blog, Blogger Templates.

These templates can be heavily customized from the get go and there is enough variety to come up with something that will stand out in a manner of minutes.

And now, if you're looking to create your heavily personalized theme, but don't want to do all of the dirty work for the frame, you can start with the Super Simple blogger template which takes the already, well, simple Simple template and strips it down even more.

"When it comes to design, sometimes less can be more. This is the mantra behind our newest variant Super Simple, freshly-released to the Template Designer this week," Blogger's Brett Wiltshire wrote.

"We’ve taken the original Simple variant and stripped it down to the bare essentials, putting your actual blog content front and center on the page," he added.

"As with all of our variants, you are free to tweak all of the individual elements and styles to your liking. And if you are looking to design a fancy blog template from scratch, the Super Simple variant is also a great frame to build upon," he said.

Super Simple drops most of the formatting elements to give a blank page on which to work. Of course, if white backgrounds, black text and that pure HTML look are your thing, you can just leave it at that.
