As computer enthusiasts all over the world are anxiously waiting for the arrival of the new Core i7 processors, Intel's next-generation desktop CPUs based on the new Nehalem microarchitecture, several motherboard makers are officially introducing their own X58 mobos, coming to support the new desktop technology from Intel. One of the more recent announcements comes from Taiwanese motherboard maker DFI, which has just announced the introduction of its new LANParty motherboard, coming to provide support for upcoming Core i7-based desktop computer systems.

While details on the company's new motherboard had previously leaked on the Internet, the official version has kept the public waiting thus far. Fortunately, as it was to be expected, DFI decided to announce the new motherboard on the very day that Intel was to officially take the wraps off its new desktop processors and its next-generation desktop chipset, the X58.

Most of the specifications on the new motherboard have already been made available, so users know to expect a motherboard that not only supports the latest desktop processors, but that can also be equipped with any of the latest graphics cards on the market, designed by either NVIDIA or ATI. Thanks to its X58 chipset, the new DFI motheboard integrates 3 PCI Express graphics slots that can be enabled for either NVIDIA 3-Way SLI or ATI CrossFireX multi-graphics technologies.

Additional features include the triple-channel-supporting 6 memory DIMMs, 8 SATA ports and a "Flame Freezer" heat dissipation system that might raise some questions as to which computer chassis this motherboard will be adequate for. The Flame Freezer is set to dissipate the heat over the motherboard's south and north bridges and the PWM, bringing the excess heat to a special external module.

Unfortunately, there are no specific pricing details for DFI's new LANParty UT X58-T3eH8 motherboard, but rest assured that we will be seeing it at some local retailers sometime soon.
