In June, we learned that a distributed denial-of-service (DDOS) attack aimed at Web.com-owned Network Solutions led to several websites, including LinkedIn, becoming inaccessible.

It appears that cybercriminals continue to launch attacks against Network Solutions.

“Network Solutions is experiencing a Distributed Denial of Service (DDOS) attack that is impacting our customers as well as the Network Solutions site. Our technology team is working to mitigate the situation,” the company stated around 16 hours ago.

It took the company about two hours to mitigate the attack.

Earlier this week, Network Solutions notified customers that some sites were compromised.

Cisco experts have been monitoring the attacks and they reveal that customer DNS records had been corrupted before the outage caused by the DDOS attack.

“As a result of the DDoS attack, any customers that were compromised previously may not be able to repair their domain name infrastructure until the DDoS is mitigated,” Cisco experts noted.
