And much more

ATI?s graphics solution, ATI Mobility Radeon X800 XT Platinum Edition, fitted with 256 MB of GDR3 RAM is not the only argument for the 1800 Euro price tag on the Cyber-System X17 notebook, from the German producer Cyber-System.

The 17 inch LCD display capable of resolutions of up to 1680x1050 (WSXGA+), the possibility to choose between a Pentium M 740 (1,733 GHz) and a Pentium M (2,133 GHz) or the 512 MB RAM of DDR 2, everything on an Intel 915PM/ICH6-M motherboard are some of the features which tell you that this is a high-end model.

These are completed by a 60, 70 or 100GB SATA hard-drive (depending on how much you are willing to pay) and a DVD-RW with 8X DualLayer capabilities.

Measuring 40 cm in length, 22 cm in width and height of 4.5 cm, Cyber-System X17 has a pretty compact design, although it?s not something you would brag about. The only drawback is the fact that the LiIon battery will last for only 2 hours.

Even so, this is a competitor worth taking into consideration, especially by those who want a replacement for their desktop system.

This week, Softpedia would like to know your opinion on gaming consoles. What is your favorite console you either own or you are planning to buy? Are you an Xbox fan or a Playstation fan? Has Xbox360 convinced you it?s time to buy one? Or you?ll wait for the PS3? Express your opinion here.
