There is factory overclocking and there is serious clock tweaking, and MSI seems to have done the latter on a probably not very unsuspecting version of AMD's Radeon HD 6850.

A cyclone is a natural phenomenon that, among other things, involves a great deal of revolving air.

As one may have guessed, that is a serious understatement, just about as serious as saying that pushing an AMD Radeon HD 6850 card to 1,020 MHz is just a small clock boost.

As it happens, the video card already known for having been overclocked to 1,020 MHz, all without extra cooling save what it already has on it, has been pictured in more detail.

Apparently, the folks over at HardwareZone Forums snagged a few photos of the thing and its, all so consumers can know what to look forward to.

For those interested in a reminder, the AMD Radeon HD 6850 is aimed at the higher part of the mainstream market.

This MSI Cyclone Power Edition model has a significantly tweaked set of clock speeds, the GPU and memory working well above their regular parameters.

To be more specific, the graphics processing unit, instead of 775 MHz, has a clock speed of 860 MHz, whereas the 1 GB of GDDR5 VRAM operates at 4,400 MHz instead of 4,200 MHz.

The list of remaining features includes a memory interface of 256 bits, dual-DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort outputs. as well as MSI's very own collection of stability and endurance-enhancing components.

That said, one may recognize the Military Class II components, like solid capacitors with aluminum core, Hi-c capacitor with a tantalum core and a Super Ferrite Choke (SFC).

All in all, the product is cooler, faster and much more suited for overclocking that the stock model, basically better in every way compared to the original.

As for cooling, the MSI R6850 Cyclone Power Edition utilizes a single-fan device with two heatpipes and three heatsinks.
