BlackBerry Curve 9380, the latest addition to Research In Motion’s affordable Curve lineup, is now available for pre-order in the UK for those users who would like to have it on a contract agreement.

Reservations of the new mobile phone kicked off over at The Carphone Warehouse with contract agreements available on both Orange and T-Mobile (though they are actually a single carrier, Everything Everywhere).

Users interested in placing an order for the device to have it in their hands when the actual sales begin should head over to the retailer’s website here for that.

The new mobile phone is available for free with the signing of a contract on plans that start at £20.50 ($31.5 / 23.8 Euros) per month.

For those out of the loop, we should note that the mobile phone was launched only a few weeks ago with an all touch design, being the first Curve device to sport such capabilities.

The new handset comes to the market with a 3.2-inch display with touch capabilities, while also packing a compact design, and RIM’s BlackBerry 7 OS on top.

“The BlackBerry Curve 9380 smartphone is stylish, social and simple. The all-touch design is super user-friendly, while BlackBerry Messenger and built-in Facebook support means you'll always be in touch with your friends and family,” the retailer notes.

The new smartphone also boasts a 5-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with support for video recording, along with a microSD memory card slot for expanding the available storage space.

The BlackBerry Curve 9380 is NFC-ready (Near Field Communications) and sports WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, along with support for 3G networks.

“Chat with your mates however you want, either by texting, with BlackBerry Messenger, or using the fantastic Facebook app which gives you complete access to messages, updates and event invites,” The Carphone Warehouse explains.

“There's more. With BBM connected apps, you can chat with your friends in real time from within apps themselves: there's no need to close the app.”
