Crysis 1 is reportedly headed to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles, as new listings from two separate video game rating boards have pinned to it the two aforementioned platforms, besides the PC one, for which it was released back in 2007.

German developer Crytek made the original Far Cry for Ubisoft many years ago, and then proceeded to release the first Crysis title, alongside Electronic Arts, just for the PC platform four years ago.

The game was followed by a spinoff, Crysis Warhead, also a PC exclusive, and has just seen the release of its full-pledged sequel, Crysis 2, for the PC, but also for consoles like the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Now, it seems that the developer also wants to bring the original title in the series to other platforms, as two separate listings from the Korean video games rating board, as well as from the North American Entertainment Software Rating Board, say that Crysis 1 has been classified for the PC, just like it was up until recently, but also for the PS3 and Xbox 360.

As of yet, however, neither Crytek nor Electronic Arts have commented on these listings, so the game's release on consoles is still up in the air, at least for a little while longer, until an official announcement appears.

The original Crysis impressed a huge amount of PC owners through its revolutionary graphics, even if it was extremely demanding of all computers, being barely playable on most configurations at that time.

Considering Crytek's technical expertise, porting Crysis 1 to consoles, and polishing it up in order to make it look more similar to Crysis 2 shouldn't be a major problem, even if it currently has in development other titles, including the Kinect-only Ryse.

Expect more details about the original Crysis coming to consoles in the following weeks.
