Lots of bug fixes and improvements have been added too

Crypt of the NecroDancer, the quirky indie game that tries to appeal to fans of rogue-like games by adding a unique musical touch, has just received another major update.

This is the 16th update developer Brace Yourself Games has delivered, which shouldn’t be surprising considering the game is still in early access.

The game was launched back in July 2014 and according to developers, it should be finished in “early 2015.” However, if the game proves to be popular, devs confirmed they would continue to add new features to make it even bigger.

Since Crypt of the NecroDancer received overwhelmingly positive reviews, we expect the folks over at Brace Yourself Games to continue to add improvements and new features long after the game gets out of Early Access.

The game is expected to be fully released in early 2015

In fact, the only thing that’s been missing from the game is the last of the four zones, as well as a few bosses. So, as soon as developers finish working on zone 4 and add the necessary bosses, the game should be fully released on Steam.

Until then though, let’s see what Update 16 brings to Crypt of the NecroDancer. First and foremost, players will now be able to summon the Leprechaun by making a pile of 50 gold or more, and then wait.

But this is not the only new content added to Crypt of the NecroDancer. Lots of new items and shrines have been implemented as well, such as Booths of Lunging, Ring of Becoming and Shrines of Phasing, Pace, No Return and Chance.

Stats of some of the already existing items have been balanced for a better gameplay experience. New sound effects have also been implemented. Obviously, the update contains a fair number of bug fixes as well.
