The service will be available later this year

Leading provider of mobile music entertainment services, Musiwave and Cricket Services have announced an agreement according to which Cricket will provide Musiwave's innovative music solution to its subscribers nationwide.

"As demand for mobile music services increases globally, we are excited to bring our level of innovation to the U.S. market with a forward-thinking operator like Cricket," says Daniel Cohen, director of operations, Musiwave North America. "Our work with Cricket Communications will allow their consumers to personalize the mobile experience and interact with music in ways not previously possible."

Musiwave is offering several services among which Music on Demand Service that is a full track mobile music subscription offering that allows fast and secure downloads of music directly to 3G mobile devices.

The company is also offering SmartRadio, a service that allows users to listen to their favorite music at all times and even create channels based on their favorite artists and music genres.

The MusicWizard service helps users identify a song in just a few seconds. The music recognition service will allow customers to find out the name of a song as well as purchase it as ringtone. Aside from its collaboration with Cricket, Musiwave has provided services to many mobile operators in 25 countries including Vodafone, Telus, T-Mobile or Orange.
