After a three-hour bath, Wild at Heart crew rescued the giraffe from a swimming pool

Wild at Heart crew have experienced a rather unusual situation. While they were filming the TV show, they noticed Lucy, a 14-month pregnant giraffe, had somehow ended in the swimming pool. Though they made sure their presence won't affect wildlife habitat, the cute creature got herself into a lot of trouble, right on the set.

At first, the crew thought about draining the pool and using sandbags to create steps so that the giraffe could walk on them but then thought the idea is too dangerous, the Telegraph reports.

The team had to call The Fire Brigade and, by the end of the day, the problem was solved. It involved a lot of work, since all the participants had to dig a trench at the end of the pool and show Lucy some food to make her cooperate. It took her almost three hours to finish her bath. Finally, the creature got bored and settled for some extra treats coming from crew members.

Producer Adam Friedlander still can't explain how the nine-year-old animal ended up in the tiny pool, but now he can definitely say it was a “bizarre sight” the crew just had to capture on camera.
