The critter invasion

In 1996, Aki Maita created a virtual pet. Its name was Tamagotchi. Shortly afterwards, this pet was sold to Bandai and became a huge hit. The Tamagotchi (a word formed from the Japane "tamago" meaning "egg" and the English "watch") "lived" in a miniature egg-shaped mini-computer with three buttons (A, B and C). The player had to use these buttons in order to play games with the pet, to clean him and feed him.

At the end of 2007, Nokia announces the title "Creebies", a game for its mobiles. The gameplay of this new release is very similar to what Tamagotchi meant then. You have a virtual pet, but this time it comes in the 3D version. When you play Creebies, you must entertain your critter, feed him and even breed him. The game comes with a trailer and some virtual cash, so you can "pimp" your pet. But that's not it. Your Creebi will have its own house equipped with different accessories.

But, the surprises don't stop here. At one point, you'll see that your Creebies will develop their own personality and appearance, and all this based on the attention they'll receive from you. Also, the creatures will become more independent and you are required to watch over their health meter. If that goes down, your Creebie could be ill or just... hungry.

Thanks to the Bluetooth technology, more players can join the play - a chance for your Creebie not to be alone. He can play with other Creebies or even breed new spawns. The new "babies" can be shown to the world or be put for adoption via Adoption Centers, that are available in the N-Gage Arena.

Now that the details are out and if you think you're up for the "challenge" Nokia lays before you, get ready, because at the beginning of the new year, Creebies will be available and they will invade your privacy.
