The hacker who breached the systems of the UK Council for Graduate Education has also penetrated Pixel Federation, a game development company. As a result of the attack, the usernames and passwords of around 38,000 users who had registered an account on the site’s Portal section have been leaked.

According to Cyber War News, Pixel Federation confirmed the breach in a notice posted on the Portal section of its website. Users are warned that their login data was compromised, and they're advised to change their passwords.

The company clarified that no payment data was compromised in the attack.

The leaked passwords are encrypted with the MD5 algorithm, which means that they’re easy to crack. The fact that MD5 is used sort of contradicts its statement, according to which the security of customer information is very important.

In case you have an account on Pixel Federation, now is a good time to change your password. If the same password has been used for other accounts, those must be changed as well.
