The software is one of the easiest solutions for businesspersons on the go, as it can also capture signatures, accept credit cards, scan bar codes, print, and transmit documents back to the office. There are two versions of Mobile Invoice that can be used: the Standard and the QuickBooks Editions. The Standard Edition installs a single application on the Pocket PC. The QuickBooks Edition also has a desktop application that provides communication between the Mobile Invoice and QuickBooks.
The Mobile Invoice Standard Edition can be easily installed on the Pocket PC by using a network connection or by synchronizing your device with the PC. After the quick installation, you will be able to start using the application and create your own financial documents by simply clicking the Options tab. You will be presented with a few options such as: Start Invoice, Start Estimate, Start Receipt, Payment, Sales Order and Credit Memo.
It is recommended that you install the application on the Pocket PC's memory for a smooth functioning, but you can also opt to install it on the storage card. Every document that you choose is easy to fill in, as you will only need to insert certain numbers or select the required settings.
Furthermore, users will be able to make three types of lists: Customer lists, Item lists and Other lists. The Customer lists simply contain the customers one will be billing, while the Item lists include line items such as labor or parts they may enter on an invoice. Other Lists include things such as the terms of payment or customer messages that users may wish to add to a document. All these lists, as well as any document that has been created by Mobile Invoice, can be printed directly from the Pocket PC.
