“Garage Innovation” will add some life to dreary workshops

Craftsman used CES 2012 as an opportunity to release a fairly unusual product that may just bring wireless audio to car service stations and anyone's garage.

Right to the point, the company created a toolbox (more like a tool storage system) that has a built-in Bluetooth stereo system.

The unit, made of two chests, has 16 drawers, leading to 27,245 cubic inches of space.

Unfortunately, people have to wait a while before enjoying the 220W of audio: sales will only start in the second quarter, for a still unknown price.

“Anyone who has a garage can relate to that 'oh no' moment when you can't remember if you closed your garage door before leaving the house," said Kris Malkoski, vice president and general manager of the Craftsman brand.

"With the new Craftsman Assurelink Garage Door Opener and a simple click on your smartphone app you know the garage door is closed and your home is secure."
