The latest Cowon player makes you feel the beat! The "newborn" is called iAudio7 and adopts the same stylish design as its older brother, the i6 player.

The player can switch from a micro hard drive to flash. This makes the system virtually skip-proof but triples battery life to an incredible 60 hours of continuous music. Makes my ears ?"drool"! As additional information, IAudio 7 supports AAC, FLAC and OGG file formats, apart from the popular MP3/WMA/WAV audio support.

The media player enables the owners to watch XviD-encoded videos on the generous 1.3-inch LCD, as Cowon claims. It resembles the previous versions a lot, but comes packed with a couple of extra options such as FM radio tuning and voice recording.

So, if the owners get somehow bored with the music, they can switch on the radio and enjoy the morning news. Moreover, just imagine how nice it would be to store all the birthday memos directly on the player for later listening.

To follow the latest trend in the industry, Cowon announced two versions of the iAudio 7 player. The 4GB, as well as the 8GB models, seem to ensure enough capacity to keep all the music library in special folders straight on the portable player.

According to Electronista, both versions are to be launched in Korea on July 18th for $182 and $246 respectively, either of which will come in piano black with either a silver or a red trim. So the price tag seems a fair one after all, considering the capabilities.

Nowadays, Cowon sells the players in the US and prepares to launch its latest jukebox in other territories, too. What really impresses me is the 60-hour runtime, which could finally let me enjoy my classics collection in a single music session.

Is seven your lucky number? Cowon surely hopes so!
