He thinks that he “can prove Courtney's involvement”

It's been twenty years since one of the greatest musicians of our times, Kurt Cobain from Nirvana committed suicide. To celebrate the affair, the Seattle PD have ceremoniously revealed that they would reopen the investigation using a cold-case detective.

After weeks of speculation, the result came back the same: Kurt Cobain killed himself. However, in the investigation, the police revealed new evidence that has previously been left uncovered.

For example, an entire roll of film, previously undeveloped, has now been taken in as evidence, and a note found in Kurt's wallet at the time of his death has also been made public.

Now, Courtney Love's estranged father, Hank Harrison, is coming out to the press saying that he can prove his daughter had a hand in Kurt Cobain's death. He told Radar “No doubt she was capable. I can’t prove she pulled the trigger, but I can prove her involvement to a high degree of certainty.”

He bases his theory on the very note that was made public recently by police. In it, Cobain says some pretty rough words about his wife at the time, which contradict his words in the suicide note.

The note is a mock version of the wedding vow in which Kurt accuses Courtney of spending his money on drugs and also of numerous infidelities. Courtney's father comes to support that theory with a new book called “Love Kills: The Assassination of Kurt Cobain.”

Harrison believes that this note is definite proof that Courtney was somehow involved, “If you read the true meaning of this small note, and place it in conjunction with the rest of the evidence, anyone with even half a wit will see that something dire and awful took place.”

He's also very suspicious about the fact that the Seattle police have taken twenty years to look at all the evidence, “Nobody, except me, asked the obvious question: ‘Why weren’t they developed 20 years ago?’ They weren’t developed because the police had already decided it was a suicide and didn’t need any more evidence.”

There is some confusion as to why the police would stir things up again if they were determined to make it look like a suicide, “The Seattle police are hoping to put the suicide case to sleep. and yet all they are doing is fanning the flames again,” Harrison adds.

Over the years, there have been several conspiracy theories in which Nirvana fans accused Courtney Love of being directly involved in Cobain's death, but no direct connection could be made with the case.

The cold case detective who revisited the evidence came to the conclusion that Kurt killed himself with a shotgun blast to the head, after having ingested a lethal dose of heroin. The shotgun shells were bought by Cobain himself after he told the clerk that he had been burglarized.

Courtney's rep has been contacted but so far there has been no comment from her camp.
