They’re friends, but this isn’t the first time Jen publicly shames Courteney

Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox have remained very good friends after their hit comedy series “Friends” wrapped, but even so, Courteney is not safe from Jennifer’s occasional but very public jabs. That doesn’t mean that she’s not hurt by them.

Last week, Aniston did an interview talking about her beauty routine and her secrets to looking this great whether she’s on the red carpet or out and about town, running errands. At one point, she complained about how some of her friends had been overdoing it with the plastic surgery, fillers and Botox, in what she considered a desperate attempt at holding on to their good looks.

Obviously, she didn’t name any names, but the consensus online is that she could only have been talking about Cox, who really went overboard in recent years with the interventions.

“I think what I have been witness to, is seeing women trying to stay ageless with what they are doing to themselves. I am grateful to learn from their mistakes, because I am not injecting [stuff] into my face. No honestly, I see them and my heart breaks. I think, ‘Oh god if you only know how much older you look.’ They are trying to stop the clock and all you can see is an insecure person who won’t let themselves just age,” Aniston said.

“I am fortunate enough to know women like Gloria Steinem, who I think is one of the most stunning women on the planet, and doesn’t touch her face… You know, to each their own; I don’t judge it if you do it, but sometimes I wish I could beg the people I know, who I am very near and dear to, to not touch their face,” she added.

That part in bold font (emphasis ours) is what made people assume she was talking about Cox.

Courteney too thinks the same, an insider tells the latest print issue of Star Magazine (story via CB): she read Jennifer’s interview and she’s quite hurt that she would do this again.

“[Aniston] can deny it, but who else could she possibly have meant? Courtney is upset that she made the remarks publicly, but this certainly isn’t a shock to her. It’s happened many times before,” an insider reveals.

Courteney has been open to a certain extent about the interventions she’s had to stay young-looking, though voices online say she ruined her face in this attempt. Had she accepted to age gracefully, she would have probably still been able to move her face, and more importantly, she would not have had her best friend publicly shame her in interviews.
