This past Thursday, country star Trace Adkins announced that, following all the conundrum sparked by documentary film “Blackfish,” he had decided to cancel one of his upcoming shows.

More precisely, the musician announced that he would not take part in SeaWorld Orlando's Bands, Brew and BBQ festival.

For those who have until now lost count of all the bands and individual singers that have decided to pull out of this event, it must be said that Trace Adkins is the ninth public figure to cancel a SeaWorld show.

“The music community is getting the message loud and clear that confining intelligent animals and forcing them to perform tricks isn’t just off-key – it’s cruelty,” green group PETA comments on the country star's decision.

The other musical acts that the marine park has thus far lost are as follows: Barenaked Ladies, Willie Nelson, Heart, Trisha Yearwood, Cheap Trick, Martina McBride, REO Speedwagon and .38 Special.
