In an effort to reward Steam users who create great maps for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Valve has now revealed a special paid DLC that charges players a certain amount of money to play on a group of servers until the end of July.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive was released last year, but the game became really popular after it received Steam Workshop support, allowing players to create their own maps for the multiplayer game and share them online with others.

Quite a lot of high-quality maps were released after that moment in time, so the teams of developers at Valve and Hidden Path Entertainment decided to release a special paid DLC that rewards their creators and allows players to enjoy the levels without any sort of problem.

"Operation Payback marks the first of an ongoing series of limited-time updates aimed at giving a well-earned financial reward to some of CS:GO’s most popular and prolific mapmakers," the announcement of the official website says. "[The DLC has] unlimited access to a Classic Casual map group featuring seven of the highest-voted Workshop Maps."

"Invite your friends (even if they don’t have a pass) and enjoy uninterrupted low-ping play on official servers—all while rewarding CS:GO’s top-voted virtual mapmakers with real money. Buying a pass also gets you a one-of-a-kind challenge coin, upgradable by playing and viewable wherever your avatar is shown. Operation Payback will be live from now until July 31st, and it’s currently half-priced, so get in there!"

More Operations will be released after Payback ends in July, so Global Offensive players are encouraged to vote on their favorite maps via the Steam Workshop.

Operation Payback includes access to seven great levels, in the form of Museum, Downtown, Thunder, Favela, Motel, Seaside, and Library.
