Coming to add to the already extensive collection of case fans that users can choose from is Cougar, whose latest batch is composed of both 120 mm and 140 mm models.

There are many sorts of cooling solutions, the same way there are different PC components and other devices or parts that require them.

Of the latter, desktop cases don't necessarily need such things, what with each heat-generation PC part usually featuring an individual cooler that is sufficient.

Still, just in case the system within is particularly powerful and demanding, or simply because users so wish it, enclosures often do have one or more fans of their own.

The Cougar team from HEC Compucase is the latest to make its contribution in this field, preparing propellers with diameters of 120 mm and 140 mm.

There are, to be somewhat more specific, three of the former and two of the latter variety, at least according to this report.

The 120 mm CF-V12HP (priced at £14.49), has a rotary speed of 500 to 1,800 RPM (rotations per minute) and a maximum airflow of 119.8 CFM, plus a sound output of 17.9 dB. It is a Vortex PWM model that features a Hydro-Dynamic Bearing.

The second 120 mm fan, CF-V12H (Vortex HDB), uses the same bearing as above but has 1,200 RPM, airflow of 102.6 CFM and a sound output of 17.7 dB It should sell for £12.99.

Furthermore, the Vortex CF-V12S, third and last 12 cm spinner, works at 1,200 RPM, 102.6 CFM, 17.7 dB and boasts the Hyper-spin Bearing. It was not priced.

The Vortex HDB CF-V14H (£14.49), the first 140 mm fan, works at 1,200 RPM (or 700 RPM with the included adapter), 119.8 CFM and 19.2 dB.

Finally, the Vortex CF-V14S runs at 1,000 RPM, 109.6 CFM and 17.9 dB. Its own price is £13.49.
