It has an aluminum framing structure and mechanical adjustments

Gaming mice used to be like all the others in the sense that they were made of a single piece with a bunch of buttons installed on them, but that's not the case for some of the more recent ones, and definitely not for the 700M from Cougar.

You can tell why just by looking at it. Why, the different sections and the way the buttons are arrayed, it's almost like it was modular.

It's no wonder the thing earned COMPUTEX Design & Innovation Award of 2014, and the iF International Design Award of the year.

The aluminum-framed peripheral has an 8,200 dpi precision sensor (ADNS-9800 high performance laser sensor), and special function buttons (fire button, 45 degree sniper button).

It's like it was deliberately designed for FPS games (first-person shooters).

In fact, Cougar implemented the Cougar Fusion technology, which will allow you to make a mouse and Cougar keyboard act together in unprecedented ways.

There are various tricks you can use, like recording macros on the fly, and while they do rely on the bundled software, it's not like hardware often ships without something of the sort as part of the driver anyhow.

Add to that the Aero-Dynamically shape that keeps your palm cool and there isn't much to complain about. Finally, the price of the Cougar 700M mouse is $84 / €84.
