A customer-owned 2014 C7 Corvette Stingray has performed well on a quarter mile (0.4 km) testing session, scoring a time of 12.23 seconds.

According to autoevolution, the vehicle owned by Hennessey Performance Engineering has been driven at a speed of 114 mph (183 km/h). It reached 60 mph (97 kph) in 4.15 seconds and 100 mph (160 kph) in 9.5 seconds.

The C7 tested in the video above has an automatic transmission, so imagine what it can do using a manual gearbox.

If you are now craving for the new Corvette, you will not have to wait long. The car will be available starting next year and it will set you back from $12,495 (€9,250) to $67,950 (€50,250). It will be equipped with 600 to 1,100 horsepower.
