In addition to top-grade processing, memory and graphics capabilities, gamers also look for matching audio solutions when setting up their gaming system, and Corsair decided to make sure that its entrance into this market segment was noticeable by unleashing its very first headset.

What Corsair did was create the CA-HS1 USB headset, an offering aimed at not only gamers, but also users that frequently indulge in music and multimedia.

The product has a rugged and compact design with replaceable earpads and a circumaural, closed-back design.

This build ensures comfort over long periods of use while the massive 50mm drivers reduce overloading and deliver accurate sound reproduction, especially for low-frequency effects.

The memory foam earpads are replaceable and are complemented by plush fabric earcup covers, which boast better acoustic properties than leatherette.

The audio solution also features a noise-canceling microphone, an inline volume and microphone controller, plus support for Dolby Headphone technology.

“The clear, low-noise reproduction of the unidirectional noise-cancelling microphone lets your teammates hear you better, and the extra-large inline volume and microphone control is easy to grab and use when the action heats up,” notes the product page.

"We set out to develop a headset with the performance that gamers demand, while also providing the pristine audio reproduction required for multi-channel movies and high bit rate music," stated Jim Carlton, Vice President of Marketing at Corsair.

"The Audio HS1 easily meets both these challenges," he declared.

Unfortunately, Corsair did not disclose any information on the pricing of this product, but did note that shipments should start soon. The device will be backed by a two-year warranty.

Finally, according to the official product page, the electronic is compatible with any PC, as long as it has an USB port and runs the Windows 7, Windows Vista or Windows XP operating system.
