In addition to ultrabooks, regular mobile personal computers may be getting cheaper

We have already seen that the prices of existing Ultrabooks are going down, but it looks like there may be some extra good news coming our way.

People thinking of buying a new PC but who aren't sure if this is the best time may want to learn about this latest tidbit.

Though it was only an off-hand mention at best, Digitimes says that desktops and regular laptops powered by Intel Core i5 and Core i7 CPUs may get cheaper as well.

Understandably enough, as next-generation Core series chips approach, companies want to thin down their existing laptop supply.

You all may as well keep checking with your local retailers, just in case this rumor has a grain of truth in it.

Of course, people seeking the highest performance will want to wait for products based on Ivy Bridge units instead, like Biostar's TZ77XE4 Z77 motherboard.
