I am not a particular fan of those 17 inch and larger gaming notebooks, but for those of you that fell the need of owing such a behemoth of a laptop Cooler Master has just the solution that you need if your laptop's cooling just doesn't cut it anymore, the CM Storm Strike Force 19 Gaming Notebook Cooler.

Compatible with notebooks with sizes of 19” and beyond, this high-performance 4 SuperSpeed USB 3.0 ports packing monster comes with 140mm adjustable turbine fans that are specially engineered to provide all the airflow required to keep your high-powered notebook components running at optimal temperatures, so finally you may be able to cool that behemoth of a laptop you bought.

As cool as this may sound (no pun intended), this may as well come at the expense of your silence since Cooler Master doesn't state anywhere in its press release the dual 2,600RPM turbine fans used are quiet.

A dBA environmental noise measurement isn't also provided this leading me to believe the Strike Force 19 could be one pretty noisy device.

And although silence it may not be on the feature list, you do however get pretty light effects, the SF-19 providing 7 colored light profiles, as well as a carrying handle, this being Cooler Master's way paying a “special consideration to mobility,” although I wouldn't call a 1.98 kilos notebook cooler like the SF-19 mobile by any means.

Add to these the impressive weight of your gaming notebook and you may be much better off with strapping a desktop PC and monitor to your back and call it a day.

In all fairness however, I have to admit the SF-19 looks particularly well built, that enhanced mesh structure looking pretty sturdy while the led On/Off switch and stepless fan speed controller add quite a bit to the overall value of this thing.

End of it all, I think that all it comes down to is if you actually need this thing or not cause if you are stuck with a hot, massive gaming laptop the $45 SF-19 may as well end up as one of the few solutions available to you.
